Sooo Big!

Today we had Libby's 2 month doctors appointment with shots and all.
As far as the shots go, she did great.
Jeremy and I on the other hand did not take it as well. It hurt us more than it did her...
She weighed in at 11lbs. 10 oz. and she has grown 3 inches for a total length of 23 inches.
She is in the 75th percentile for height and weight...there is something to be said for that liquid diet.

While we were in the waiting room Libby acquired a full diaper...we were going to wait to get to the patient room to change her. Jeremy took her out of her carrier to hold her and as soon as she was in her daddy's arms she leaked all over his work clothes...I thought it was quite funny because I get to experience this daily and it caught Jeremy very off guard.

Everything else looked perfect and she even showed her little personality and was all smiles for the doctor. We are very blessed to have such a sweet and healthy baby.

After the doctor Jeremy went back to work and Libby and I went for some much needed retail therapy...she got some new shoes and an outfit...
I am telling myself this will not be a habit, but when you have a sleepy baby and you are already out and about it's hard to resist those tiny little shoes and clothing for baby girls...it just tugs at your heart strings.

More pics to follow of her two month photo shoot, but until then... meet Libby's new friends, chin #2, the tallest hair ever, and the bluest eyes in Memphis.

This is her pensive look...Jeremy has this expression while paying bills.

Where has the time gone?

Libby is growing before our eyes these days...everyday I tell her to slow down, but she just won't listen to her mother. We have lots of fun together and now that she is smiling, motherhood is very rewarding even at 2 a.m. Next week we will be 8 weeks old and will be getting our shots. Where have the past two months gone?

See the pics below of her latest photo shoots

I am always sweet, but especially when I am sleeping...

Mom bought me these bows and I just started wearing them - who says a mo hawk can't be sassy?

Then Dad found the bows and decided that he would give it a shot...I think he was trying to keep the boys away

I had a play date with my friend Ansley, it was so much fun!

She has really cool toys...

After we invaded each other's personal space, it was time to call it a day

Shake what your momma gave ya....

I know that Libby is only 6 weeks old, however Jeremy and I can't help but believe that she is slightly advanced...here is a video we took tonight of her "dancing".

She is moving to the beat of her own drum, but I know she's got rhythm...can't wait to see more of her talents develop.

Libby's extended extended family

Libby is almost 6 weeks old and it is so hard to believe. She is getting big so fast and changing each day. She is more alert now and smiles at us all of the time (as long as she has a full belly and is well rested).

We had a great labor day weekend and a very busy week. She met so many people that adore her and she was passed around like a hot potato.

Ashley & Lindy came by on Friday night and Libby experienced her first girl's night.
Aunt Ashley and Aunt Lindy both look like naturals...Libby loves them

Family photo op, the only other one we have was at the hospital

Libby's Celebrity Look alike

As Libby has grown, so has her hair...as it gets longer, it gets taller...she has already gotten a variety of nicknames due to this unique look. We think she resembles Jim Carey from Ace Ventura Pet Detective...at least the hair do.
She is much cuter than Jim Carey, and she proudly sports this look naturally, no hair product needed. Eat your heart out Hollywood...
