California Dreamin'

Memorial Day Weekend was jam packed with a Given Family get away to the Golden State.
The entire crew flew out to Los Angeles to see Jeremy's uncle, Martin, receive his doctorate.
Martin has worked so hard for the past few years and we were very proud of him.

Among graduation festivities, we also ventured to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, I was not into shopping (with my pregnant state) but I instead of retail therapy, I occupied myself scouting the place for stars.

One of the best experiences of the trip was a party that Martin's friends threw for him.

Unfortunately, I had charged my camera battery that day forgot to put it back in the camera...so I have no photos. The backyard looked over a river bed and behind that there were mountains. It was really beautiful. Sunset magazine has even been to the home to take photos for a future issue.

We also went to Riverside to have Brunch at the Mission Inn. It is a Hotel that was built in 1903.
It was awesome. Here are a few pics..

California was fun, but there is no place like home, and we are glad to be back in the South...

7 months & Counting...

Well, the time is counting down faster than ever these days....

7 months and 1 week. See the pictures below of the Given Family at this point...

Elizabeth

Jeremy

and Hagan (still the most photogenic...but not for long!)

We had such a busy weekend this past weekend, on Monday morning it was evident that I had overdone it...

On Thursday night we went to BBQ Fest and saw all of Memphis in rare form...

Great people watching for sure.

Friday night we went out with Ashley & Andy, Our good friends & Ole Miss fans...but we still love them.

They were due to pay up for our annual bet on the Egg Bowl, since the dawgs won they treated us to dinner in Oxford. The food was great and the company was even better.

We stopped at a fine establishment on the way and it was a perfect photo op...

Saturday was our birthing class (all day) at Baptist Women's Hospital...I thought it was very informative...Jeremy was a little shell shocked. But all in all we feel more educated after this weekend.

On Sunday we helped March & Brett celebrate Gates' 1st birthday.

He has gotten so big! Hard to believe he is a year old...

Failure to Communicate

I have had a few friends ask when I am going to post new pics and updates...
I have tried to take a few prego pics (seven months & counting).
However, these days it is hard to get a picture that I am okay with posting on the world wide web...

Until then - I will be sure to post pics of the nursery, Jeremy and of course Hagan...
The nursery is coming right along, just waiting on a few things to be completed...

I am feeling pretty good except for the lack of sleep and thoughts of my to do list running through my head.
Jeremy is ready for the baby to be here today...I am thankful for his enthusiasm, but like I said the to do list is long...and our time is getting closer and closer! Yay!
