Sibling Rivalry

This past weekend we celebrated Jeremy's 29th birthday with lots of family and friends.

I think with parenthood ahead neither of us feel our true age, I think that means it's time for a vacation. (I am always working on a way to squeeze in some traveling, especially now that life is about to change).

We also got a few things done around the house, one of the biggies was getting the crib assembled.

While we were in the middle of reading directions and looking for parts, I look down to see a mangled, slobbery stuffed animal that Hagan had politely placed in the middle of the nursery for us to find...He just looks guilty doesn't he?

Needless to say, I tried my best to discipline the dog without being too harsh...bottom line - He is going to have to realize any and all stuffed animals do not belong to him.

It's tough to stay mad for too long at him...with a face like that.

So, until a baby arrives to sleep in this adorable crib, it will serve as a safe haven for all stuffed animals from the beast of the house.

This is the finished poduct, Jeremy did a great job...now all we need is a matress, some bedding & a baby to sleep in it.

Please pass the...

Things this baby is craving...

I have never loved sour/citrus things this much, I guess it could be worse...nothing to crazy
As nervous as I am about a baby entering our lives forever, I am also ready for her to be here so I won't have to talk about Jeremy and I all the time and I can put her pictures up instead of a belly shot & my cravings...but until then this is what you all will get to see...

Here we go....

Well, after studying the blogs of others, being close to welcoming home baby girl Given, and living far from family and friends that we miss...I decided it was time to join the band wagon and start a blog...so, here we go!
(Please bear with me while I get the hang of this thing)

My baby bump...baby girl Given is 6 months along and counting...she is definitely kicking all of the time and letting me know that I am for sure pregnant (this is not just the aftermath of a buffet meal gone bad)

Na Na and Papaw have bought many gifts for the baby, but Hagan's favorite by far is this giant panda...when we brought it home he was so excited to meet his furry new "friend".
We are a little apprehensive about how strong his affections may be, so we keep it out of his reach. (except for this photo op)

Nursery in the works - This is by far one of the most fun/difficult projects in my design experience...designing a nursery is very exciting, but I am finding out that I am the worst client I have ever had...I don't think pregnancy homones help anything.

Jeremy hung this light fixture and it looks so cute! He did a great job...its great to have a handy husband.

These are the fabrics that I am using and the general direction that I am going in, at least for today...The bed should be here soon. I will update nursery pics as it progresses.
