Allow me to introduce myself...

My name is John Henry...mom says I am the cutest thing ever...I have to say that she is right.

I love to watch my daddy mow the grass...

I also love to swing.

I think solid food is the real deal.

This is my dog, Hagan.
Since this whole solid food thing started he has come to realize the importance of my existence.

We are working on his boundaries...

I am all about the full eating experience..touching it with my hands...

then I do this weird stretching routine so my hair can have a taste too...

and I walk away fully satisfied, covered from head to toe & looking good.

These are my hunting buddies, Brooks and Riley...we are already discussing duck season 2017...
be afraid, be very afraid...

New Adventures

This summer has flown by, I can't believe that school is starting again. We have had such a great time with lots of fun things going on. Seeing Nathan and Jonathan and Maggie and Julia was a big highlight of the summer and in between visits we have had lots of new adventures.
We went down to Mr. Keith's house last weekend and Libby got to feed, pet and ride a horse. John Henry even got a chance to sit on him (Manni the horse) and loved it!

Our little cowboy

Mr. Keith was so patient and loved teaching Libby how to lead Manni.

She was so funny...treating the horse like any old dog....

and then brave enough to saddle up

A visit to Julian in the hospital turned into a play date, there were so many people there to see him.

While Jane and the girls were here, John Henry got baptized, we celebrated Libby's birthday, went swimming, Libby went to her first movie and just enjoyed our time together.

Summer Traditions

I am writing this post early this morning. Libby, Jeremy & John Henry all asleep. (JH just went down for a nap....that is what happens when you wake up at 5 a.m.). Robert a.k.a. Buzz, Zoey, Nate & Jonathan left for the airport this morning. The house is quiet, and I am certain of one thing...Libby will be one sad little girl when she wakes up and realizes they have gone home. Having them here was great...Libby followed them everywhere, tried her best to keep up, and did a pretty good job. Libby and Nate have a special bond...he is like a protective older brother. She dotes on Jonathan, but he is not too keen on that. They butt heads a little bit, but I think the closeness in age has alot to do with it. Libby insisted on riding in "Zoey's white car" (their rental car) with them everywhere we went, so we moved her car seat over and she did. Last weekend we ventured to Heber Springs and stayed in a cabin there (we did this last year and it seems to becoming the 4th of July tradition). Zoey's parents retired there, so they were just a few houses down, a short walk or golf cart ride away.

The guys got to golf and even took the kids to play a few holes. We went out on the boat one day and to a pottery studio to let the kids paint pottery...back in Memphis we went to the playground, went swimming, and even had an early birthday celebration for Jonathan & Libby.
It was a great visit. I miss them and can't wait to have them here with us again.
